Portfolio

I’ve been building websites since 1998. Here is a curated list of a few websites and applications I have build over the years.

  1. Bottom Dwellers home page for desktop

    The Bottom Dwellers Website

The Bottom Dwellers are an Americana band, based in Yolo county. They have been playing around Northern California since 2003—mostly smaller venues, private events, and the occasional opening slot for a touring acts like the late Billy Joe Shaver, and Dale Watson. Full disclosure: I am a member of this band.

  2. The West Nile Ramblers home page

    The West Nile Ramblers Website

The West Nile Ramblers are an Americana band from Davis California, led by Alex Roth. The band has been a local favorite with UC Davis students going on two decades. They have been supporting act for The Devil Makes Three and regularly sell out local venues.

  3. Nugget Markets home page

    Nugget Markets Website

I finally got around to a complete rebuild of the Nugget Markets website. My previous build launched in 2008 and was a freelance project. I have since been hired by the company as a full time web developer in their marketing department. I have been champin’ at the bit to rebuild this website for years!

  4. Lindsey Buckingham home page

    Lindsey Buckingham

Lindsey Buckingham is best known as the lead guitarist and vocalist of Fleetwood Mac. He also has a healthy collection of solo albums under his belt. Now he’s partnering up with ground(ctrl) to help manage some of his web presence.

He has performed and recorded with many artists including The Devil Makes Three, Rita Hosking, The West Nile Ramblers, The Brothers Comatose, and Nicki Bluhm. After many years of performing in California, Andy relocated to Austin, Texas in 2011 and began playing with Silas LoweThe Sieker BandCornell Hurd and many others.

  6. Whitechapel home page

    Whitechapel

Whitechapel is a deathcore band from Knoxville. We love partnering with young, aggressive hard-working bands. Those of us in the ground(ctrl) dev cave are pretty hardcore Whitechapel fans to begin with, so we were all pretty excited to work on this one.

    Imagination Movers

The Imagination Movers are a group of guys from New Orleans inspired to create their own children’s show. It became a local hit and the Movers were eventually picked up by Disney. The band has a pretty deep catalog of material and tours pretty extensively.

Their management hired ground(ctrl) to design and build their new website, and we ended up tacking on a few extras features to make management a little easier for them.

This site is hosted on the ground(ctrl) platform built and maintained by Robert Reinhard, Brent Scheffler, and myself.

    Features

As with all ground(ctrl) powered sites, this system is a fully featured social network that promotes communication between fans and artists. Visitors can befriend one another as well as communicate with the band via a public commenting system, private messaging, and forums. The site is also a full featured website that allows the artists and their management team to blog, post news articles, photos, video, tour dates, host contests and run grass roots street team promotions. There is also a store where visitors can purchase tickets, digital downloads, and merchandise.
