I’m part of the marketing team at Nugget Markets¹. My primary responsibilites are web development and graphic design, but we’re a small shop, and all of us wear many hats.

When our buying team decided to introduce a line of ice cream into our store brand, we were charged with naming the flavors (Yes, this also involved lots of sampling). One of my favorite aspects of marketing is taking the opportunity to borrow from your expertise in other areas to say something interesting that might catch the attention of insiders of a certain crowd.

If you have never seriously looked at the stars, they might not be the first thing you think of when you look down into a tub of vanilla ice cream with dark cookie crumbles. But if you are one of those people who has hunkered down on an frosty winter night under a dark sky with your trusty red pen light and a star chart, it just might be.
