Psalm 14:1

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Ha! A classic old testament burn! Speaking of burn.

Matthew 5:22

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

That’s Jesus right there from his sermon on the mount, threatening his followers with eternal damnation for calling people fools. Pretty harsh there, Mr. Jesus.

Is it foolish to keep dragging that joke out every year?

And while we’re calling each other fools; another wise bearded desert dweller once asked rhetorically, “Who’s the bigger fool? The fool, or the fool who follows him?”
