Adobe CS3 Configurator

Are you a seasoned, graphic designer, web developer, video editor, or multi-media guru? Are you excited about the new Adobe CS3 products? Do you already know which CS3 applications you want to upgrade to? Are you a little frustrated that not all of the applications you want come bundled in any of the CS3 Suite packages? Do you need help determining the most cost effective way to purchase the CS3 applications you know you need? I am and I do. I thought others might be too, so I made the Adobe CS3 Configurator.

I am and I do. I thought others might be too, so I made the Adobe CS3 Configurator.

Adobe has their own product selector, but it's based on a "things that you do" model, rather than a "which ones I need" model. I've been a web developer for a fairly significant period of time, and I already know which applications I like to use to do the things I do. I also know which products I don't like to use to do the things I do (Dreamweaver, I'm looking at you).

My products of choice are:

  1. InDesign
  2. Photoshop (I don't care which version)
  3. Illustrator
  4. Flash
  5. Fireworks

It looks like the most cost effecive way for me to go is to purchase the Design Premium package and a supplemental copy of Fireworks for $2098. Ouch! That's still a lot of money...
