Pinkish

A portion of visitors to blog.bigreason may notice a pinkish hue to things around here. Your eyes do not deceive you. There is a hue. A girlish hue. This is intentional, for I love girls, and October. And pink, after all, is the color of October — or at least the color of breast cancer awareness. And October is breast cancer awareness month.

I know, it's strange. blog.thebigreason isn't a place where color is common. Our staff much prefers shades of gray. We find that color detracts from the beloved topics we cover. But breast cancer is one issue that hits home to us (me — the staff). I personally know great women who have been afflicted by and overcome the disease. As someone who loves breasts, and the women who currently — or no longer — sport them, I am proud to put aside my aversion to color for one month.

Support our breasts!
